About ISA 2007

ISA 2007 Organisers

In 2005, shortly after the Beijing meeting, a group of Canadian seabuckthorn experts and stakeholders had the idea to set up the next conference in Quebec City, Canada, and the International Seabuckthorn Association approved this initiative. The Canadian seabuckthorn industry, albeit relatively young, is thriving due in part to Canada's exceptional climate, convinced growers and oustanding experts. We are thus very proud to have been granted the privilege of welcoming ISA 2007 to Quebec City.

ISA 2007's International Scientific Committee included experts from Canada (Manitoba, British Columbia, Quebec and Newfoundland), from the United States, and also from China and Germany, to represent organisers from previous ISA conferences.

Under the auspices of the International Seabuckthorn Association, ISA 2007 was organised by Laval University's Institute of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods in collaboration with the Quebec Seabuckthorn Growers' Association. Together with representatives from the Government and from private companies, this very spirited group represented the interests of every segment of the seabuckthorn industry.
